About this fabric

This plain velvet reads as a pale moonlit sage, with the colour sitting between silver-grey and soft green rather than a true cream. The surface has the smooth, low-sheen look you expect from velvet, so the tone shifts gently as the pile reflects light across the cloth. It is made from 60% Polyester, 28% Recycled Polyester, 8% Acrylic and 4% Viscose, with a strong 100,000 Martindale rub test and upholstery grading for Contract and General Domestic use. At 137cm wide and suitable for Curtains, Loose Cover Upholstery and Fixed Upholstery, it is a practical choice where a refined, calm colour is needed. The A FR rating to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 adds confidence for residential and contract schemes.

How to use it

Use Moonbeam to soften dark joinery, bring a cooler note to oak or painted wood, or create a serene full-room scheme with chalky neutrals and natural textures. Its pale grey-green tone works especially well in spaces that need light without feeling stark.

A calm, versatile neutral that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or refined curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
