Pluto Indigo

Pluto Fabric

Pluto Indigo is a deep, muted blue with a cool grey cast and a quietly textured plain surface. The shade reads sophisticated and low-key, with just enough depth to anchor a room without feeling heavy.

About this fabric

Woven in 30% cotton, 25% viscose, 15% linen and 30% wool, this Linwood fabric has the balanced handle of a mid-weight cloth and is suitable for curtains, loose cover upholstery, dual purpose and fixed upholstery. The 40,000 Martindale rub test and Contract, General Domestic upholstery grade make it a practical choice for busy interiors, while the A FR rating to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1 adds reassurance. Visually, Pluto Indigo is a near-charcoal indigo with a soft green-blue undertone, so the plain weave feels crisp and tailored rather than shiny. The colour has a calm, shaded depth that will sit neatly against timber, stone and pale neutrals.

How to use it

Use this indigo on a tailored sofa, banquette or loose covers where the cool depth can ground lighter walls. It also makes elegant curtains, especially in rooms with natural light that will pick out the subtle woven texture.

A restrained indigo tone that works well across upholstery and drapery in tailored schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
