Equator Midnight

Equinox 2 Fabric FabricCCF0666-02

Equator Midnight is a dense, cool-toned textile with a deep blue-grey ground and a tightly repeated diamond lattice. Fine lighter threads pick out the geometric pattern, giving the surface a crisp, quietly dimensional finish.

About this fabric

The colour sits between midnight blue and charcoal, while the small interlocking diamonds appear in a slightly lighter blue-grey that catches the light across the weave. At 501gsm, this is a substantial fabric well suited to upholstery, with a 138cm usable width and a standard length of 40 metres. Its compact pattern has a 3cm vertical repeat and a 4.5cm horizontal repeat, keeping the lattice controlled on furniture. The dark, cool tone brings definition to sofas, dining chairs and occasional seating without the high contrast of a bright geometric.

How to use it

Use Equator Midnight on a tailored sofa or accent chair where its cool blue-grey depth can balance ivory, chalk and pale oak. Add warmer timber or aged brass nearby to soften the charcoal notes in the weave.

Use this cool midnight blue-grey upholstery to anchor pale timber, brushed metal or warm neutral interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Equator Midnight without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
