Marylebone Denim/Linen

Edgeworth FabricCCF0561-01

Marylebone Denim/Linen pairs fine vertical denim-blue and pale blue stripes with a warm taupe-linen ground. The close-set lines create a crisp, tailored rhythm while the woven surface keeps the colour softened rather than stark.

About this fabric

This 301 gsm fabric has a usable width of 140 cm, giving the stripe a practical mid-weight presence for both upholstery and drapery. The design alternates slender blue, ivory and charcoal lines with broader warm taupe bands, creating depth across the cloth without a bold block pattern. Its horizontal pattern repeat is 17 cm, while the vertical repeat is 0 cm, so the stripe runs continuously from selvedge to selvedge. Supplied in a standard 40 m length, Marylebone Denim/Linen brings a cool denim note to the scheme, tempered by the natural-looking linen shade.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a tailored armchair, bench or relaxed Roman blind where the muted denim stripes can add structure against warm wood, stone and off-white upholstery. Its taupe ground also makes it an effective choice for curtains when a room needs pattern without strong contrast.

Use the cool denim stripes to bring definition to upholstered seating or full-length curtains, balanced by the warm linen ground.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Marylebone Denim/Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
