About this fabric

The dense woven texture is made up of closely intersecting horizontal and vertical threads, creating a softly weathered surface without a discernible motif or pattern repeat. At 588 gsm, Gaia Midnight has a substantial handle suited to upholstery applications. The fabric has a 138 cm usable width and is supplied in a standard 30 m length. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, making the non-directional texture straightforward to position across upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Use Gaia Midnight on a tailored sofa, occasional chair or dining seat where its cool navy depth can anchor pale timber, brushed metal and soft grey furnishings. The lightly variegated weave keeps the dark blue from reading as flat or overly formal.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
