About this fabric

The design is formed from irregular, softly blended patches rather than a defined geometric motif, with darker midnight-blue pools moving through lighter, weathered blue areas. Its subtly napped-looking surface catches the light unevenly, bringing out both the deep tone and the cooler grey highlights visible across the swatch. The fabric has a 141 cm usable width and a 199 gsm weight, with a 40 cm vertical repeat and 47 cm horizontal repeat. This mid-weight specification makes it suitable for both upholstery and drapery applications.

How to use it

Use Nuvola Midnight on an occasional chair, headboard or full-length curtains where its cool navy depth can anchor a room. Pair it with chalky whites, soft greys and aged metallics to echo the swatch’s smoky highlights without competing with its mottled pattern.

Layer this deep blue colourway with smoky neutrals, pale timber and brushed metal for a cool, atmospheric interior.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Nuvola Midnight without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
