Gaia Charcoal

Eco FabricCCF0556-03

Gaia Charcoal is a deep, cool-toned woven textile with a dense crosshatch surface. Fine pale-grey threads catch across the near-black ground, giving the swatch visible depth without a separate motif.

About this fabric

At 588gsm, this is a substantial fabric suited to upholstery, with a 138cm usable width for practical cutting. The charcoal ground reads almost black in the darker areas, while the interlaced grey and silver threads soften its depth and reveal the weave. Its horizontal and vertical texture creates visual movement, but the supplied 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats confirm that it has no repeating design to match. The standard length is 30m.

How to use it

Pair this cool charcoal with pale oak, warm stone or brushed metal to balance its dark depth, using it on a structured sofa, bench or occasional chair where the crosshatched texture can be seen up close.

Use this weighty charcoal weave to ground tailored seating, benches or occasional chairs with a subtly rugged finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
