About this fabric

Catalogued as a fabric, Ellice Ocean has a richly worked surface rather than a regular printed repeat. Fine pale blue-grey striations break through the darker ground, creating the impression of worn, brushed layers across the cloth. The cool, low-saturation tone gives the colourway a grounded, atmospheric character, while the irregular texture keeps it visually dimensional. The visible mid-weight appearance makes it suitable to consider for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Pair this cool ocean blue-grey with charcoal, weathered timber and soft grey upholstery for a moody scheme, or use it against warm ivory to bring out the lighter marks in its distressed surface.

Use its cool, weathered blue-grey surface to add depth to tailored seating, cushions or softly falling curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
