Ellice Oyster

Checkmate Fabric

Ellice Oyster has a very pale oyster ground with a softly weathered, almost plaster-like texture. Fine broken lines form a low-contrast, irregular surface that shifts gently between cream and warm ivory.

About this fabric

The close-up shows a restrained textured design rather than a defined geometric check, with delicate vertical and horizontal marks dispersed across the cloth. Its near-ivory tone is lightly warmed by faint beige undertones, giving the surface more depth than a plain white fabric. The softly nubby finish catches the light without appearing shiny, keeping the overall impression calm and relaxed. No composition, width or performance specification is supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Pair Ellice Oyster with chalky whites, pale oak and warm natural stone for a quiet, light-filled room; its subtle texture also gives plain upholstery a little visual depth.

Use this pale oyster texture to soften upholstery or filter light through relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
