Dvvlinens Fabric

Naoshima Ocean is a cool blue-grey textile marked by sweeping, wave-like bands in charcoal, slate and pale grey. Its softly visible woven surface gives the pattern a tactile, quietly dimensional finish.

About this fabric

The design moves in broad, fluid streams across the cloth, with darker charcoal lines gathered alongside lighter grey and silvery highlights. The blue-grey ground keeps the colourway cool and atmospheric, while the contrasting bands create depth without introducing bright colour. Fine horizontal and vertical threads remain visible beneath the flowing motif, giving the surface a subtly structured texture. Folded areas show how the tonal bands break and reform across the fabric, adding movement to the overall impression.

How to use it

Use Naoshima Ocean on a statement chair, sofa or generous curtains where its cool blue-grey depth can sit against chalky neutrals, charcoal accents and pale timber. The flowing pattern works especially well when allowed a broad, uninterrupted surface.

A cool, layered blue-grey textile that brings flowing movement to upholstery or full-length drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Naoshima Ocean without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
