About this fabric

The Calcatta colourway shows an almost ivory base crossed by slender, broken taupe lines that form irregular angular and architectural shapes. Its 43 cm vertical and 35.5 cm horizontal pattern repeats give the design a clearly structured rhythm across the cloth. At 753 gsm, this is a substantial velvet suited to upholstery, with a useable width of 141 cm. The specification records 192 threads per cm, while the pale surface and restrained linework give the pattern a clean, quietly considered presence.

How to use it

Use Calcatta on a lounge chair, headboard or compact sofa where its pale ivory tone can brighten the scheme and the taupe geometry can echo stone, timber or warm grey accents.
