About this fabric

This colourway reads as a deep teal with a cool sea-blue cast, broken by the gentle movement of the velvet pile rather than a printed motif. The surface has a softly mottled, hand-rubbed look that keeps the shade from feeling flat, while the pile catches the light in a subtle, smoky sheen. Woven in 56% viscose and 44% cotton, and approximately 140cm wide, it has the substance and touch expected of a Velvet, with no visible repeat. It is an easy choice where you want colour and texture to do the work without introducing pattern.

How to use it

Use it on a compact armchair, banquette or headboard to bring a cool, tailored note to oak, walnut or brushed metal. The sea-blue depth also works well with chalky neutrals and paler greens for a layered, coastal palette.

A cool, moody blue-green that gives velvet seating a tailored, contemporary feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
