Carsina Blue

Belvedere FabricF4710-04

Carsina Blue presents a delicate large-scale damask trail in soft blue, pale taupe and ivory on a warm cream ground. The design reads airy and refined, with the motif sitting lightly on the cloth rather than feeling dense or formal.

About this fabric

Woven in a 41% viscose, 33% linen and 26% cotton blend, this Belvedere fabric has the natural body and slightly softened handle you would expect from a linen-rich cloth. The repeat is a generous V 78cm by H 61cm approx, which gives the scrolling paisley and floral forms room to open out across the width. In Carsina Blue, the pattern feels calm and breathable: the blue is powdery rather than strong, balanced by muted taupe outlines and a cream ground that keeps the overall effect light. At 123cm approx wide, it is well suited to curtains, blinds or upholstery where a refined decorative surface is wanted.

How to use it

Use it with painted timber, pale oak and brushed brass for a classic scheme with a fresh edge. The soft blue ground works especially well in bedrooms, sitting rooms and elegant occasional chairs.

A fresh blue-and-ivory palette that suits classic interiors without feeling heavy.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Carsina Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
