Wembury Red

Bampton FabricF4901-10

Wembury Red reads as a softened rose-red, with a quiet warmth and a gently weathered woven surface. The cloth has a refined, low-key presence that lets the texture do the talking.

About this fabric

This Bampton fabric combines 44% viscose, 40% linen, 10% cotton and 6% polyester, giving the swatch a natural-looking slub and a slightly dry, tactile finish. The weave appears plain and non-directional, with no visible repeat, so the colour sits evenly across the surface. In this colourway, the red is muted by pink and earthy undertones, creating a dusty rose shade rather than a bright scarlet. At approximately 146cm wide, it is a versatile cloth for both upholstery and curtains where a softer, tailored look is wanted. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BH are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Pair this dusty rose-red with pale plaster, warm stone or aged brass for a calm, layered interior. It works especially well on a small upholstered chair or as curtains where the woven texture can catch the light.

Use as a warm, understated coordinate that adds colour without overpowering a scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
