Brooke Stripe Beige

Brooke Stripes FabricF4826-06

Brooke Stripe Beige is a softly tailored vertical stripe in warm beige, cream and gentle tan, with a fine woven texture that feels calm and composed. The narrow striped rhythm gives the swatch a neat, understated look rather than a bold statement.

About this fabric

Woven in 49% cotton and 51% linen, Brooke Stripe Beige has the natural, lightly slubbed character you would expect from this fibre mix, with a dry, textile surface that keeps the stripe looking relaxed. The design uses a very small repeat, with a vertical repeat of 0cm and an approximate 1cm horizontal repeat, which creates a precise, slender stripe effect across the 137cm width. In this colourway the beige reads warm rather than sandy, softened by pale cream ground tones and fine tan accents that sit quietly in the weave. It is a versatile fabric for schemes that need a restrained stripe with enough texture to stop it feeling flat.

How to use it

Use this colourway to bring gentle order to slip upholstery, roman blinds or pared-back curtains, especially where you want the stripe to read refined rather than nautical. It works particularly well with chalky paint colours, pale woods and other muted neutrals.

A refined neutral stripe that layers easily with linen, oak and painted finishes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Brooke Stripe Beige without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
