Roscoe Old Blue
Roscoe FabricF4768-04
Roscoe Old Blue shows a soft, horizontal strié effect in a muted blue-grey palette with hints of pebble and taupe. The overall look is calm and textural rather than bold, with the weave creating gentle movement across the surface.

About this fabric
This Colefax and Fowler fabric is a 140cm-wide design composed of 49% viscose, 26% cotton, 15% polyester and 10% linen, giving the cloth a refined soft handle with visible natural texture. The swatch reads as a restrained old blue, cooled by grey and softened by beige undertones, so it feels understated rather than bright or nautical. Its fine horizontal striping is created by the weave itself, with a lightly slubbed surface that catches the light in thin, subtle bands. With no repeat in either direction, the pattern feels relaxed and easy to place on larger pieces without visible joins. The composition and finish suggest a versatile decorative fabric that sits comfortably between tailored upholstery and lighter interior use.
How to use it
Use this shade on a compact armchair, headboard or ottoman where the subtle stripes can be appreciated up close. It also works well in a room with limed oak, stone and chalk-white accents, where the muted blue tone stays cool and calm.
Pair with chalky neutrals or dark timber for a quietly tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
