Hemsworth Tomato

Roscoe FabricF4771-03

Hemsworth Tomato is a finely textured fabric with a warm, earthy red ground and subtle woven variation across the surface. The small-scale texture gives the colour a soft, slightly weathered depth rather than a flat tomato tone.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a muted tomato red, lifted by softer terracotta and brown undertones that make the surface feel grounded and tactile. The weave has a compact, speckled look, with the tonal shifts breaking up the red so it feels relaxed rather than bright. At approximately 140cm wide, and with a composition of 58% viscose, 29% linen and 13% polyester, it has the balance of softness and structure suited to everyday use. The repeat is effectively non-directional at V 0cm / H 0cm approx, which helps the texture feel continuous across larger pieces.

How to use it

Use Hemsworth Tomato where you want colour with warmth: it works well on an upholstered chair or banquette, especially alongside oak, aged brass and natural linen. The subdued red tone also sits nicely with softer neutrals and earthy greens for a layered, collected room.

A warm, low-key red that adds richness without feeling loud.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
