About this fabric

This Roscoe collection fabric is woven in a blend of 36% linen, 30% viscose, 22% cotton and 12% polyester, giving the cloth a natural, lightly refined handle. The swatch shows a very small repeating geometric in a muted old blue that reads more blue-grey than true blue, with a calm, slightly dusty finish. At approximately 144cm wide with a V 2cm / H 1cm repeat, it is neatly scaled for upholstery or curtains where a restrained pattern is wanted. The overall effect is quiet and tailored, with just enough texture for the light to catch the motif without breaking the soft surface.

How to use it

Use Old Blue on a tailored armchair, banquette or roman blind where its muted blue-grey tone can settle into the room. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky whites and deeper navy accents for a composed, layered scheme.

A subtle small-scale geometric that works beautifully where you want quiet colour and texture.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Arlette Old Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
