Cape Mohair Gingerbread

Cape Mohair Fabric

Cape Mohair Gingerbread is a rich, warm brown with a gently mottled mohair surface and a soft, low-lustre finish. The colour reads like toasted spice rather than a flat chocolate, giving the cloth depth without looking heavy.

About this fabric

This plain upholstery fabric combines 50% Mohair and 50% Acrylic, with a generous 140 cm width and a hard-wearing 80,000 Martindale rub test. In Gingerbread, the pile-like texture catches the light unevenly, creating a subtle tonal variation across the surface. The shade is a grounded brown with a golden, biscuit warmth that feels inviting rather than overly dark. Its even, unpatterned appearance keeps the focus on the texture and the nuanced colour movement visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use Gingerbread on a sofa, armchair or banquette where a warm brown can soften cleaner lines and add depth. It pairs especially well with oak, tan leather, flax and olive accents for a cosy, layered room.

A warm neutral with a soft, tactile finish for inviting upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
