Cape Mohair Beetroot

Cape Mohair Fabric

Cape Mohair Beetroot is a deep berry-toned plain with a softly brushed mohair surface and a subtle velvety nap. The colour reads as a dark beetroot burgundy with warm plum depth across the cloth.

About this fabric

Woven in 50% mohair and 50% acrylic, this upholstery fabric has the plush, tactile finish you can see in the swatch image. Its plain structure keeps the focus on the colour, which sits between red and purple with a muted, wine-dark richness rather than a bright crimson note. At 140 cm wide and tested to 80,000 Martindale rubs, it is a practical choice for well-used seating as well as accent pieces. The surface catches light gently, giving the shade a soft sheen that adds depth without looking glossy.

How to use it

Use this beetroot shade on an armchair, ottoman or banquette to bring warmth and a sense of tailored luxury. It pairs well with walnut timber, bronze metalwork and pale neutral walls that let the colour stay the focal point.

A rich, moody berry tone that feels plush and tailored on seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
