Cairngorms red

Voyagecountry Fabriccairngo/fa1/pap

Cairngorms Red shows a woodland scene in a warm terracotta red against a pale natural ground, with deer, birds and trees silhouetted across the cloth. The print has a rustic, hand-drawn feel that reads quietly decorative rather than bold.

About this fabric

This Voyage Maison Voyagecountry fabric is made from 53% linen and 47% cotton, with a substantial 287gsm weight and a usable width of 136cm. The colourway combines an earthy red motif with an undyed-looking pale background, so the deer, birds and trees stand out clearly without feeling harsh. Its surface looks softly textured and slightly matt, which suits the relaxed country character of the design. With a 68cm horizontal repeat and 52cm vertical repeat, it is well suited to curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, and should be dry cleaned only. Iron Safe finish makes it practical to press neatly after making up.

How to use it

Use Cairngorms Red where you want a gentle country statement: it works well on full-length curtains, roman blinds or scatter cushions against cream walls and timber finishes. The muted terracotta red adds warmth and depth without overpowering a room.

Pair with natural woods and soft neutrals to let the woodland motif and earthy red tone lead the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
