Hydrangea purple

Voyagecountry Fabrichydrang/fa1/gra

Hydrangea Purple is a lively watercolour floral on a pale ground, with loose blossoms in lilac, mauve, sky blue and fresh green. The overall effect is airy rather than heavy, letting the larger blooms and leafy stems read clearly across the cloth.

About this fabric

Woven in 53% linen and 47% cotton, this Voyage Maison fabric has a natural, lightly textured handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The print shows generous hydrangea heads and scattered botanical sprays in softened purple tones, lifted by touches of aqua, blush and leaf green. At 287gsm it has enough substance to hang well while still feeling easy and decorative. The 137cm horizontal repeat and 41.5cm vertical repeat suit a broad, rhythmic floral layout that feels especially fresh in this cool-toned colourway. Dry clean only; cool iron if needed.

How to use it

Use it for statement curtains, relaxed Roman blinds or cushion covers where the soft hydrangea purple can brighten a neutral room. It sits well with chalky whites, pale timber and other muted lilacs for a calm country-house feel.

Pair with pale linens and painted wood to keep the watercolour florals feeling fresh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
