Thornbury red
Tiverton Fabricthornbu/fa1/str
Thornbury Red brings a warm, weathered brick tone to the Tiverton collection, with a textured woven check that reads softly distressed in the light. The colourway mixes red, terracotta and muted sage-grey notes for a grounded, layered look.

About this fabric
This colourway shows a tactile, nubby weave with a large check layout and subtle crosshatch patterning that gives the surface movement without feeling busy. The red sits in a muted brick-to-terracotta range, broken up by calmer green-grey and dusky lilac tones that soften the overall effect. Made from 100% polyester, this fabric is specified for curtains, blinds and upholstery, and its 50,000 Martindale rating supports practical everyday use. A horizontal pattern repeat of 31.5 cm and vertical repeat of 61 cm help explain the scale of the check visible in the swatch. Dry clean only, with iron safe care.
How to use it
Use Thornbury Red on an armchair, headboard or tailored curtain for a room that needs warmth without brightness. It works especially well with natural wood, aged metal and quiet olive or stone colours.
Pairs well with oak and aged brass for a grounded, tailored look.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Thornbury red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
