Cairngorms blue

Cairngorms Blue is a gentle country scene printed in a soft powder blue on an ivory ground. The deer, trees and birds read with a calm, almost chalky finish that keeps the design light and airy.

About this fabric

Woven in a 53% linen and 47% cotton blend, this fabric has the look of a natural cloth with a reassuringly substantial 287gsm handle. The blue motif sits clearly against the pale background, giving the woodland silhouettes a fresh, cool tone rather than a heavy navy depth. With a 136cm usable width and a 68cm horizontal by 52cm vertical repeat, it suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings where the scenic pattern can be shown off. Dry clean only and iron safe, it is a practical decorative fabric for relaxed country interiors.

How to use it

Use this colourway in rooms that need a light, breezy note, especially alongside white-painted joinery, oak and muted ticking stripes. Its cool blue tone works neatly with pale greens and stone neutrals for a calm, layered scheme.

Pairs well with pale woods and natural linen for an airy country look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
