Molten blue

Winterskies Fabricmolten/fa1/ste

Molten Blue reads as a softened, misty blue with a cool grey cast, set against a finely woven ground and traced with raised embroidered outlines. The abstract cell-like pattern gives the cloth a natural, mapped quality without feeling busy.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied as 132cm wide, with a 100cm height and a usable width of 132cm, making it a practical choice for both curtains and upholstery projects. At 380gsm, it has enough substance to hold its shape while still showing the woven texture beneath the embroidery. The composition combines 71% polyester and 29% cotton with 100% polyester embroidery, and the finish in this colourway keeps the surface looking calm and slightly weathered rather than bright. The pattern repeat is 22cm horizontally and 32.5cm vertically, so the flowing outline motif will read clearly across larger upholstered pieces or full-length drapes. It is dry clean only and should not be ironed.

How to use it

Use Molten Blue to bring a cool, understated palette to a bedroom, study, or sitting room, where the muted blue-grey tone can sit quietly with oak, brushed metal, or pale stone. It is especially effective on upholstered accent chairs or lined curtains where the embroidered outlines can be appreciated in softer light.

A cool, quietly textured choice that works well on tailored upholstery or calm drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
