Orta beige

Winterskies Fabricorta/fa1/gal

Orta Beige reads as a softly weathered neutral, with layered beige ground tones broken up by darker charcoal marks. The abstract surface has a brushed, textural look that gives the colourway depth and movement.

About this fabric

This colourway in Voyage Maison’s Winterskies collection is woven in a 50% cotton, 50% polyester blend and has a substantial 480gsm handle, so it feels far more grounded than a light drapery cloth. The design shows a large abstract pattern with mottled blocks, streaked vertical marks and irregular charcoal accents sitting over a warm beige base. The overall effect is muted and earthy rather than crisp or cool, with the darker details adding contrast without making the fabric feel harsh. With a 10000 Martindale rub test and a 143cm usable width, it is specified for curtains, blinds and upholstery and works well where a soft neutral needs visual texture.

How to use it

Use Orta Beige for relaxed curtains, tailored blinds or an upholstered armchair where its mushroom-beige tone can soften stronger timber, stone or black accents. It suits smart, layered interiors that need a neutral with more character than a plain weave.

Pair with warm woods and clean-lined upholstery to let the textured neutral ground the room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Orta beige without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
