Whimsicaltale beige
Woodlandtales Fabricwhimtal/fa1/wil
Whimsicaltale Beige has a softly weathered look, with slender vertical bands of leaf and twig detail in misty beige, warm stone and faded blush. The overall effect is calm and lightly woodland-inspired rather than bold or high contrast.

About this fabric
This fabric is woven in a 95% cotton, 5% linen blend, giving the surface a naturally textured feel that suits both upholstery and drapery on a more decorative scheme. The 140cm width makes it practical for a range of domestic projects, while the dry clean only care and iron safe finish are useful considerations for made-up pieces. Its pattern repeat of 45.67cm horizontal and 21.47cm vertical supports the repeated trailing motif, which reads as fine, vertical stripes from a distance. The colourway is distinctly soft and muted, with beige predominating and small blush and olive notes adding a faded, countrified depth.
How to use it
Pair it with oak, aged brass and chalky paint colours to keep the room quiet and airy. It works especially well where you want a gentle botanical pattern without introducing strong contrast.
A gentle, nature-led neutral that layers easily with wood, linen and muted greens.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Whimsicaltale beige without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
