Otaru Beige shows a softly layered, slubbed texture in a warm oatmeal-beige tone. The horizontal striations and subtle darker flecks give the surface a natural, linen-like depth.

About this fabric

This colourway combines pale beige and sandy undertones with fine darker interruptions across the weave, so it reads warm rather than flat or chalky. The visible horizontal texture gives the fabric a gently striated look, with occasional slubs and flecks that add movement under light. Made from 100% polyester, it is 140cm wide with a 214gsm weight and a Martindale rating of 8000, making it a practical option for Curtains, Blinds, and Upholstery. As it is Dry Clean Only and Do Not Iron, it is best handled as a tailored upholstery or soft-furnishing fabric that keeps its relaxed surface character.

How to use it

Use this beige to soften walnut timber, natural oak, or painted plaster walls, where its warm neutral tone will add quiet texture without dominating the room. It works particularly well on simple upholstery silhouettes and relaxed curtains that can show off the fabric’s horizontal striation.

A warm, tactile neutral that brings depth to both seating and soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
