Fortazela blue

Fortazela Blue is a dramatic botanical print set against a deep midnight ground, with layered leaves and coral, teal and ochre flowerheads floating across the surface. The dark background gives the design real depth and makes the colours read crisp and luminous.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has the soft, natural handle you would expect from a decorative cloth at 230gsm. The usable width is 138cm, with a 46cm horizontal repeat and 54.8cm vertical repeat, so the large-scale floral layout can be planned carefully across curtains or blinds. In this colourway the navy-blue ground feels very dark and cool, which throws the mint greens, turquoise accents and peach-toned blooms into sharp relief. It is dry clean only, iron safe, and specified for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings.

How to use it

Use Fortazela Blue where you want pattern with contrast: it works especially well as full-length curtains against pale walls or as statement cushions on plain linen upholstery. The midnight ground also sits neatly beside brass, walnut and other warm finishes.

Use for statement curtains or occasional upholstery to let the floral colours stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
