Emington grey

Emington Grey shows a large-scale leaf-and-scroll motif with a gentle, misty grey ground. The raised pattern catches the light with a subtle tonal shimmer, giving the design a calm but decorative presence.

About this fabric

Woven in a substantial 530gsm cloth, Emington Grey has enough body for upholstery while still being specified for curtains and blinds. The design is made from 69% cotton and 31% polyester, with a usable width of 138cm and a 20,000 Martindale rating, so it balances comfort with practical durability. In this colourway, the ground reads as a cool pale grey-green, while the leaf forms sit slightly deeper and the stitched highlights bring a soft metallic suggestion without becoming bright. The overall effect is refined and understated, with the large repeat of 36cm across and 66cm down creating a confident, flowing pattern across larger pieces.

How to use it

Use Emington Grey on a tailored armchair, banquet seating or full-length curtains where the soft grey ground can keep the room light. It pairs especially well with chalk white, pale oak and brushed metal finishes for a calm, smart look.

A cool, softly shimmering grey with leaf-like motif works well on statement upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
