About this colour

At #B4B4BE, this shade reads as a blue-leaning grey with a calm, slightly mineral feel. It holds light rather than bouncing it hard, so it can look crisp and pared-back in a south-facing room, while in a north-facing room the cooler undertone becomes more apparent and the colour can feel more shaded. In Acrylic Eggshell or True Matt it works well where a soft, even finish is wanted, and Elite Emulsion keeps the same steady character for walls. It sits comfortably beside pale oak, smoked timber, black accents and deeper greys, and it gives upholstered pieces in charcoal, slate, ivory or muted blue a clean backdrop.
