Illusion Grey Mist

Timeless Linen Sheers Fabric

Illusion Grey Mist presents a cool, almost silvery grey ground overlaid with softly blurred, vertical ikat-like motifs. Its pale contrast and fine surface give the pattern a hazy, low-contrast quality.

About this fabric

The design combines irregular, elongated shapes with a lightly striated texture, creating gentle movement across the swatch rather than a sharply defined print. In this Grey Mist colourway, ivory and cool grey tones sit close together, so the repeated motif reads softly and changes subtly with the light. The fine-looking cloth and restrained tonal contrast make it particularly suited to drapery, where the pattern can remain atmospheric rather than dominant.

How to use it

Use it for full-length curtains in a cool neutral room, pairing the mist grey with chalk white, pale stone and brushed silver. The softened motif also works well beside quieter plain upholstery, where its vertical movement adds depth without introducing strong colour.

Use this cool, pale grey colourway for softly patterned curtains that keep a room light and calm.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
