About this colour

At #CBC8C1, Farringdon Grey reads as a soft, muted grey with enough beige in it to keep it from feeling cold. On walls, it reflects a fair amount of light while still giving a settled, grounded look, and the Signature Emulsion finish keeps that effect smooth and even. In north-facing rooms it can turn a little quieter and cooler, but it keeps its warmth better than a sharper grey. In south-facing light it looks lighter and creamier, with a gentle chalky presence that works well beside natural woodwork, painted joinery and upholstered pieces in linen, wool or patterned Morris & Co. designs.

How to use it

It suits sitting rooms, studies and bedrooms where you want a soft grey backdrop for timber, brass and period details. It also works neatly on woodwork or metalwork alongside muted greens, ink blues and woven upholstery in warm neutrals.

A warm, restful grey that sits softly on walls and woodwork without looking stark.
