Dusty Lilac

2026 Paint PaintSAP1044-73

Dusty Lilac is Sanderson’s softened lilac in the 2026 Paint range, with a quiet grey base that keeps it from feeling sugary. It sits between lavender and stone, so it reads as a restful wall colour rather than a strong purple.

About this colour

This #BDBBC6 shade is cool-leaning with enough grey in it to soften the lilac and stop it looking bright on the wall. In north-facing light it can feel more silvery and subdued, with the lilac note held back; in south-facing rooms it opens a little and shows its gentle warmth without becoming pink. It reflects light well enough to brighten a room, but it does so softly, so it will not feel glaring next to painted joinery or large expanses of glass. Beside pale oak, limed timber, mushroom tones, and upholstery in chalky neutrals or muted greens, it looks calm and well judged. In Active Emulsion or Waterbased Eggshell, it suits walls and woodwork where you want a pale colour with a composed finish.

How to use it

Use it in a bedroom, dressing room, or sitting room where you want a pale wall colour that can sit beside painted skirtings, panelling, or cabinetry. It works neatly with natural wood, linen-look curtains, and upholstery in grey, taupe, sage, or faded rose.

A soft greyed lilac that stays calm on the wall.
