About this colour

At #EBE2D1, this shade reads as a light beige with a gentle yellow-beige cast, so it feels warm rather than stark. It lifts a room well without turning bright, which makes it comfortable on larger wall areas and calm on joinery. In north-facing light it can look slightly deeper and more biscuit-toned, while in south-facing rooms it opens out into a lighter, creamier neutral. It sits neatly beside natural oak, painted timber, muted greens and clay colours, and it also gives a clean backdrop to patterned upholstery and curtains in deeper colours. In Active Emulsion or Waterbased Eggshell, it works well where a softer painted finish is wanted on walls or woodwork.

How to use it

Use Neutral Light in sitting rooms, hallways or bedrooms where you want the paint to stay quiet and workable with both wall coverings and upholstered furniture. It pairs especially well with walnut, limed oak, linen shades and heritage reds, as well as pale trims in the same family.

This is a warm, light neutral that will read softer in north light and creamier in south light.
