Renoir grey

Winterskies Fabricrenoir/fa1/iro

Renoir Grey has a softly brushed, painterly look, with layered misty greys lifted by faint cream, taupe and cool blue notes. The abstract surface feels atmospheric and quietly textural rather than bold.

About this fabric

Woven in a 60% polyester, 40% rayon mix, this fabric has a 230gsm handle that gives it enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still keeping a fluid, drapey feel. The visible surface reads as an abstract wash of pale grey, chalky off-white and muted stone tones, with occasional cooler blue and olive undertones that sit beneath the brushy finish. Its 71cm horizontal and 68cm vertical pattern repeat suggest a large-scale design that will make the most of its layered, artful movement. Spot clean only and cool iron care make it a practical decorative textile for a well-used interior.

How to use it

Pair this cool, misted grey with pale oak, putty linen and brushed metal for a calm contemporary scheme. It also works well as a quiet contrast to deeper charcoal or soft sage upholstery.

Use for a calm, painterly backdrop that softens a room without feeling flat.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
