Emington orange

iKon Fabricemingto/fa1/rus

Emington Orange is a richly patterned fabric with scrolling damask motifs in a muted terracotta orange over a soft pale ground. The raised, textured look gives the design a warm, lived-in depth rather than a bright, glossy finish.

About this fabric

Woven in a substantial 69% cotton and 31% polyester blend, Emington Orange has the weight and handle of a versatile furnishing fabric. At 530gsm and with a Martindale rub count of 20000, it is specified for curtains, blinds and upholstery, making it suitable for both decorative and practical use. The design shows large-scale scrolling leaves and flourishes, with the orange sitting slightly dusty and earthy so the pattern feels warm rather than vivid. Against the lighter background, the motif catches the light with a soft broken texture that adds richness to the surface. It should be dry cleaned only and can be dry ironed if needed.

How to use it

This muted orange tone works beautifully with oak, aged brass and deep cream, where the pattern can bring warmth without overpowering the room. It is especially effective on upholstered chairs or full-length curtains in a classic or smart country scheme.

Use it for a tailored statement with warm, heritage character.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
