Cirsium orange

Wilderness Fabriccirsiun/fa1/rus

Cirsium Orange brings the Wilderness thistle design to life in a soft, washed-out orange palette with pink, sage and ochre accents over a pale ground. The print feels airy and painterly, with the floral forms drifting across the cloth rather than sitting in hard outlines.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough substance for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still reading as a lighter decorative textile. The visible ground is a warm ivory-beige, and the Cirsium motif is softened by translucent washes of orange, coral, blush and faded green, giving the design a sunlit, botanical feel. The 140cm usable width and large 46cm by 68cm repeat make the pattern well suited to statement window treatments where the thistle heads and stems can spread naturally across the drop. Dry clean only and iron safe, it is a practical choice for polished interior schemes that want colour without heaviness.

How to use it

Use this colourway in rooms that already have timber, rattan or linen upholstery, where the muted orange tones can add warmth without overpowering the space. It also works well as relaxed Roman blinds or full-length curtains in a pale scheme, letting the painterly flowers provide the main visual interest.

Pair with warm neutrals to let the painterly thistle tones stay light and airy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
