Sapphire orange

Zircon Fabricsapphir/fa1/amb

Sapphire Orange is a richly burnished plain cloth with a soft brushed look and a low, even lustre across the surface. The colour reads as a deep saffron-orange, warm and grounded rather than bright or citrusy.

About this fabric

Woven in 92% polyester, 5% cotton and 3% linen, this fabric has the substantial feel expected of its 700gsm weight and the durability to handle upholstery as well as curtains and blinds. The surface appears smooth and closely woven, with a subtle directional nap that catches the light gently rather than reflecting sharply. Its plain construction and zero pattern repeat keep the focus on the colour: a mellow orange-brown tone with a slightly earthy, autumnal depth. With a Martindale rating of 100000, it is a practical choice for high-use seating where a warm, tailored finish is wanted.

How to use it

Use Sapphire Orange to bring warmth to a pared-back scheme, especially alongside tobacco leather, walnut, or chalky neutrals. It also works well on structured curtains where the colour can glow softly in daylight.

A warm, saturated orange with a refined sheen that lifts both seating and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
