Leapingintothefauna blue

Woodlandtales Fabricleapingf/fa1/deb

Leapingintothefauna Blue has a gentle aqua-blue ground that lets the woodland print feel fresh and airy. The leaping animals, trailing stems and painterly leaves add movement without overwhelming the softened background.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has the crisp, natural handle you would expect from a decorative cotton-linen cloth, with a 140cm width for practical making up. The visible surface reads as a smooth, lightly textured base rather than a heavy upholstery weave, which suits curtains, blinds or lighter domestic upholstery. In this colourway, the background is a pale aqua blue with a cool, misty feel, while the foxes, hare, flowers and leaves introduce warm pink, green and ochre accents. The horizontal repeat of 45.67cm and vertical repeat of 24.97cm support a patterned layout with a clear sense of rhythm across larger schemes. Care is dry clean only; do not use bleach or fabric softener, and do not tumble dry.

How to use it

Use this soft aqua shade to brighten a nursery, sunroom or garden-inspired sitting room, especially alongside painted wood in white or pale sage. It pairs neatly with blush, moss and warm timber tones, letting the print remain the focal point.

A fresh aqua ground with lively woodland detail works well in bright, layered schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Leapingintothefauna blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
