About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 140cm-wide fabric has a natural handle that suits either upholstery or curtains depending on the project. The design reads as a vertical, brushstroke-like stripe, with fine leaf-and-branch marks layered over pale ground tones. In this colourway the overall effect is airy rather than heavy: the brighter notes of turquoise, coral and lemon sit against greys, creams and soft sage, giving the pattern energy without harsh contrast. Dry clean only; do not use bleach or fabric softener, and do not tumble dry. It is iron safe and not fire retardant.

How to use it

Pair the softer pastel movement with painted timber, bleached woods or lightly textured neutral upholstery to keep the room feeling bright. It works especially well where you want pattern and colour, but still need the scheme to feel open and unfussy.

Use it to bring a lively, painterly feel to statement upholstery or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
