Cabaret Fabric

Cabaret Carnival shows a lively geometric tessellation in warm, woven shades of burnt orange, burgundy, olive and ochre. The surface has a textured, tapestry-like look that gives the pattern a rich, graphic presence.

About this fabric

Woven for upholstery, Cabaret Carnival combines 59% viscose, 29% cotton, 9% linen and 3% polyester in a fabric that feels substantial enough for seating and accent pieces. The 137 cm width and 18,000 Martindale rub test support practical use, while the pattern repeat of H9 x V14 creates a tightly scaled, rhythmic layout. In this colourway, the palette shifts between smoky burgundy, spicy orange, muted gold and olive, with small cream and dark accents that sharpen the hexagonal forms. The finish reads textured rather than shiny, so the colours appear grounded and warm rather than bright or glossy.

How to use it

This colourway works well on a statement armchair, banquette or scatter cushions where its warm, layered tones can sit against walnut, oak or painted charcoal joinery. Pair it with plains in sand, stone or deep green to keep the geometric pattern feeling considered rather than busy.

Use with warm woods and plain neutrals so the tessellated colour movement can lead the scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
