About this fabric

This Otaru colourway has a dry, tactile woven look that reads as a subdued pink rather than a bright blush, with silvery and beige flecks lifting the surface. The 100% polyester composition gives it a practical feel, while the 214gsm weight and 8,000 Martindale rub test make it suitable for curtains, blinds and upholstery. Its 143cm usable width makes it straightforward to work into larger projects, and the pattern repeat is zero, so the texture presents as an all-over weave rather than a printed motif. The overall effect is smart and slightly luxurious, with enough depth in the yarns to soften modern schemes.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, headboard or tailored curtains where the muted pink can warm stone, oak or deep green finishes. The colour’s dusty undertone keeps it grown-up and versatile rather than sugary.

A softly metallic dusty pink that feels refined on upholstery or elegant at the window.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
