Vendome Azur

Montaigne FabricM4195-08

Vendome Azur reads as a softly mottled, misty blue with a pale, chalky ground and fine speckling throughout. The surface has a lightly textured, woven look that keeps the colour feeling calm rather than bright.

About this fabric

Vendome Azur from the Montaigne collection by Manuel Canovas is a 138cm approx wide fabric with a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, so the pattern reads as a clean all-over texture rather than a defined motif. Its 75% Cotton, 17% Polyester, 7% Acrylic and 1% Polyamide composition gives it a practical woven handle, while the visible finish stays crisp and lightly tactile. In this colourway, pale blue threads sit over a cool grey-white base, creating a washed, airy effect with just enough depth to avoid looking flat. The overall impression is fresh and restrained, with the colour shifting gently as light catches the weave.

How to use it

Use this soft blue as a quiet coordinate for pale oak, white painted wood and brushed metal finishes, or pair it with linen neutrals for a relaxed smart look. It is especially effective where you want colour, but only in a cool, diffused way.

A cool, understated blue that works neatly across upholstery and drapery schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
