Fontane Blue

Sansa FabricJ737F-02

Fontane Blue shows a small-scale geometric pattern in a cool misty blue and pale ivory palette. The repeat feels crisp and ordered, with a soft woven surface that keeps the design light rather than heavy.

About this fabric

Fontane Blue from the Sansa collection by Jane Churchill is woven in 42% Linen, 27% Cotton, 27% Viscose and 4% Polyamide, with a width of approximately 144cm and a repeat of V 35cm / H 18cm approx. The fabric has a fine, linen-rich texture that gives the blue ground a lightly striated look, while the ivory motif lifts the pattern and keeps it fresh. Its cool, slightly greyed blue reads calm and tailored, with enough body for considered upholstery and enough clarity for drapery panels. The small repeating geometric shape adds rhythm without feeling busy, making the cloth feel neat and architectural.

How to use it

Use it on a compact armchair, dining chairs or Roman blinds where the pale blue pattern can add quiet structure. It sits especially well with chalk white, weathered oak and brushed nickel for a clean, restrained scheme.

Its cool, airy blue works neatly on relaxed upholstery or tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
