Fontane Navy

Sansa FabricJ737F-06

Fontane Navy shows a small, interlocking lattice in crisp ivory against a mid navy ground. The repeating oval-and-diamond motif gives the fabric a tailored, rhythmic look.

About this fabric

Woven in a 42% linen, 27% cotton, 27% viscose and 4% polyamide blend, this Jane Churchill fabric has a textured handle that suits curtains or lighter upholstery applications. The repeat is approximately V 35cm by H 18cm, creating a compact geometric pattern that reads clearly across the width. In this colourway, the navy is cool and slightly softened rather than inky, so the ivory motif feels bright without looking stark. The overall effect is smart and orderly, with enough texture in the weave to keep the design from feeling flat.

How to use it

Use Fontane Navy on a headboard, occasional chair or tailored drapes where its small-scale pattern can add structure. It works especially well with pale oak, parchment tones and brushed brass for a clean, composed scheme.

Pair with chalky neutrals and warm wood to let the crisp lattice stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
