La Musardiere Celadon

Nara FabricM4080-04

La Musardiere Celadon shows the Nara design in a pale, cool celadon ground with delicate sepia-style scenic motifs. The soft background keeps the toile-like pattern feeling light rather than heavy.

About this fabric

This 100% cotton fabric has a generous width of approximately 146cm and a large repeat of V 74cm / H 146cm, so the illustrated landscape reads with plenty of room between scenes. In this colourway, the ground is a quiet celadon blue with a washed, chalky character that softens the brown-grey drawing. The printed detail feels refined and airy, with the trees, figures, buildings and chariots sitting gently across the cloth rather than shouting for attention. With no performance features noted and a cotton handle, it is a versatile decorative fabric suited to both curtains and lighter upholstery schemes where the pattern can be shown off.

How to use it

Use it for relaxed curtains, blinds or occasional upholstery where the soft blue ground can cool a room without feeling stark. It pairs especially well with pale woods, warm neutrals and aged brass, which echo the design’s understated sepia outline.

A pale celadon ground keeps the scenic toile feeling fresh and airy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
