Cairngorms Grey shows a softly rustic woodland scene in a muted grey-taupe print over an ivory ground. The repeated bands of deer, trees and birds feel calm and spacious, with the pattern reading clearly without harsh contrast.

About this fabric

Woven in 53% linen and 47% cotton, this fabric has a natural handle that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, while the 287gsm weight gives it a reassuringly substantial feel. The usable width is 136cm, with a 68cm horizontal repeat and 52cm vertical repeat, so the striped landscape falls in measured panels across the cloth. In this colourway, the motif is printed in a soft grey taupe that sits quietly against the warm pale background, giving the silhouettes a weathered, countryside look. It is dry clean only and iron safe, with no fire-retardant treatment noted.

How to use it

Use Cairngorms Grey where you want the pattern to feel decorative but understated; its muted tone works especially well with painted woods, stone, and brushed metal. It would suit tailored curtains or relaxed roman blinds in a room that needs a calm, rural focal point.

A gentle neutral that brings the woodland motif forward without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
