Xtra Wide Melita Ash

Xtra Wide Melita Fabric

Xtra Wide Melita Ash is a quietly textured plain in a soft grey taupe that reads cool and balanced on the surface. Its broad, wide-width format gives the cloth a smooth, uninterrupted look with a subtle linen-like slub visible close up.

About this fabric

Woven in 85% polyester and 15% linen, this fabric is specified for curtaining and has a generous 325 cm width, making it well suited to full-length drapes and wider window spans. The Ash colourway sits between grey and taupe, with a muted, dry-looking depth rather than a glossy finish. Under light, the weave shows a fine crosshatch texture that keeps the plain surface from feeling flat. With no martindale rub test noted, it is best considered as a curtain fabric rather than a hard-wearing upholstery cloth.

How to use it

Use Ash for relaxed contemporary curtains where a neutral needs more depth than a flat grey. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky paint colours and textured linens, letting the fabric’s cool taupe tone sit quietly in the room.

A calm, wide-width neutral that hangs cleanly and layers easily with timber, stone and warmer textiles.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
