Juliet Sable

Juliet Fabric

Juliet Sable reads as a soft, warm taupe with a muted sandy cast and a gently textured surface. The abstract woven pattern sits quietly into the ground, giving the swatch a calm, tailored presence.

About this fabric

Woven in 47% viscose, 44% cotton, 5% linen and 4% polyester, Juliet Sable has the handle and visual depth of a refined upholstery cloth rather than a flat plain. The 137 cm width and 20,000 Martindale rub test make it a practical choice for seating, while the medium-scale pattern adds movement without feeling busy. In this colourway, the tonal taupe ground is broken by lighter, slightly chalky accents that catch the light and soften the geometry. The overall effect is warm, understated and textural, with enough substance to suit everyday upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Use Juliet Sable on a sofa, banquette or dining chairs where its muted taupe tone can anchor the room without dominating. It works especially well with natural wood, linen blinds and other earthy neutrals.

Pairs easily with oak, walnut and quiet neutrals for a tailored, grounded look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
